COLUMBIA – ‘Tis the Holiday Season, and that means it’s time for the annual release of The State’s All-Midlands High School Football Team. Westwood defensive back Dermonti Romney earned first team honors with 52 tackles and three interceptions. Romney was just one of a slew of Westwood, Blythewood and Fairfield players to earn All-Midlands honors.
Griffins’ linebacker Dorian Glenn and Redhawks defensive back Sterling Scott received second team nods. Westwood quarterback Elijah Heatley and his dangerous receiving threat Cortes Braham were given offensive honorable mention.
Blythewood defensive lineman Patrick Godbolt and Brandon Tucker as well as Westwood linebackers Brian Horn and Timothy Jamison were defensive honorable mentions.
