St John Baptist feeds 25,000

WINNSBORO -St John Baptist Church partnered with Feeding Children Everywhere in coordination with financial support from an array of individuals, churches, organizations and local businesses for a very successful Hunger Project today at Fairfield Central High School in Winnsboro, South Carolina.  Over 150 volunteers packaged more than 25,000 meals for Fairfield County food pantries and organizations in a little over one hour. This healthy meal, a lentil casserole, consists of rice, lentils, over 60 dehydrated vegetables and Himalayan salt.  This year marks the church’s 145th anniversary. The church’s theme, Greater Service to God through Greater Service to Mankind, was exemplified.
