JOHNSTON – The Richard Winn boys picked up their second win of the season in a triple overtime road win over Wardlaw Academy. The 77-72 win improved RWA to 2-2 in the early season.
Jimmy McKeown picked up six of Richard Winn’s 16 first quarter points. He finished with ten points, one of five Eagles to end in double digits. Ethan McManus led the team in scoring with 17 points, 11 in the second half and overtime.
Noah Edwards was close behind with sixteen of his own and came up clutch with eight points in overtime play. Hudson Wade closed out the game strong; six of his 13 points came in the extra periods.
Dru Caldwell scored 12 of his 14 points from beyond the arc.
RWA will be back at home Friday for a matchup against Palmetto.
