For years, the Macedonia Baptist Church on Highway 21, between Blythewood and Ridgeway, has served as a distribution center for Harvest Hope Food Pantry. The program, directed by Deacon Larry Griffin and manned by church members, provides boxes of fresh fruits and vegetables as well as a variety of non-perishable foods to as many as 30-40 seniors (60 and older), individuals and families in need. Distribution is made the fourth Saturday of each month from 10 – 11 a.m. Putting the finishing touches on boxes for distribution last week are Pastor John C. Williams, Earnestine Palmer and Bozie Palmer. To register to receive food boxes each month, contact the church at 803-361-5292. The church is located at 72 Macedonia Church Road in Ridgeway.
