Blythewood 29016 is the second hottest area for new home construction in the Midlands with contractors building in at least five subdivisions according to a recent report in The State. With 507 building permits, Blythewood is second only behind the Town of Lexington with 1,007 permits. Above, construction work has begun on The Pointe, a 56-unit apartment complex in downtown Blythewood. Completion of the project is expected by the end of the year according to an official with the developer, Prestwick Development, LLC.
