WINNSBORO – A graveside service for Allen Lane McCoy will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Centerville Cemetery, Ridgeway, S.C. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Monday evening at Pope Funeral Home, Winnsboro, S.C.
Allen died on Saturday, March 5, 2016. Born in Winnsboro, he was the son of the late Mike and Evelyn Marthers McCoy. Allen proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam Conflict.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 47 years Barbara Harsey McCoy; four sons, Allen (Debra) McCoy Jr., Murray Lide, James Hugh Watts and Arthur William Watts; nine beautiful grandchildren, Kourtney McCoy, Ethan McCoy, Blythe Griggs and Kendal Grace, Michael Watts, Jonathan Watts, Austin Watts, Scott Watts and Jewel Miller; one brother, Jimmie (Karen) McCoy; and two sisters, Miriam McCoy Murphy (Jerry) and Janice McCoy Albriton (Richard).
Special thanks to Shelia and Chasity Reynolds for their love and dedication shown to Allen during his illness.
The family would also like to thank Hospice of the Upstate for all that have done to help Allen and Barbara.
