Blythewood Town Council Candidates: Michelle Kiedrowski

Michelle Kiedrowski

(2-year term)

My husband (Dusty) and I are new residents to Blythewood, SC. I am originally from Lincoln, Nebraska and Dusty is a native of Havre, Montana; however, we lived in many cities within the United States before finally deciding to settle in Blythewood.

Professionally, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a Master’s of Information Systems. This has allowed my career take many paths in the healthcare, financial, government, and judicial sectors where I had the opportunity to fulfill the following roles and perform the following tasks as defined by the projects I supported:

Manager of software quality assurance teams

Manager of accounts payable for large physician clinic and surgery center

Workflow and Process Improvement Analysis

Information Technology Specialist

Project manager for software implementations

Trainer of Software Systems, Best Business Practices, and Government Compliance Programs

Business Systems Analyst

Pharmacy Technician

Creation of Standard Operating Procedures, Request for Proposals (RFP), Scope of Work (SOW), and Price Proposals

Conducting Gap Analysis, Risk Assessments, and Change Management Processes

HITECH Act Projects (ARRA) – Rural Hospitals and Rural Clinics Support

Electronic Health Records, Insurance, Judicial, and Payment Systems Technology

I am skilled at process improvement, rolling out change management processes, and listening to the needs of my clients. In doing so, I am able to find a meaningful solution to either solve a problem or reduce the risk of an issue becoming a problem.

In my Nebraska community I was involved as a youth leader and youth mentor. Currently, I often advise young professionals as they pursue their own career path.

On a personal note, I enjoy travel, cooking, reading suspense novels, and spending time with family.

After searching across the United States, Blythewood has proven to be a place worthy of calling ‘home’. I believe Blythewood has the potential to be an exceptional place to live and grow. Therefore, I would like to utilize the skills I use daily in my professional life to make a positive contribution to the Town of Blythewood if they will have me.
