A big ‘Thank You’ to Mayor Mike Ross for coming to the Richland County Council meeting last week to support the opposition to commercial zoning on Rimer Pond Road. While the applicant actually withdrew his request for commercial zoning at the meeting before the Council could vote, we who opposed the zoning understand that the applicant would not have had enough votes to win that evening, thus the withdrawal.
And we are thankful for the support of the Mayor of Blythewood. Blythewood is our town and we want it to continue to be our town. We do not need an intersection full of shopping on Rimer Pond Road.
