RED BANK – The Blythewood Bengals (3-1) captured its second-straight Red Bank Invitational with an 8-3 victory over the Mid-Carolina Rebels (3-1) in Sunday’s Championship Game. It is the third time in four years the Bengals have won White Knoll’s pre-season tournament.
Jacob Davis had three hits and drove in two runs to lead the Bengals. Andrew Crook had three RBI and Walt Ballentine drove in two runs for Blythewood.
Tripper Ergle (1-0) pitched 5.2 innings to earn the victory for the Bengals. Justin Greider (1) got the last four outs to earn the save.
