Fairfield County gives services each year for taxes received from the taxpayers’ millage rate.
I own properties within town limits of Winnsboro and receive no services for my tax money from Fairfield County. The County will not even let the Town use the 911 service that is already in place. This is what would be explained as “petitio principia.”
Other town taxpayers and myself petition the Fairfield County Administration to give the Town of Winnsboro the tax money collected in the Town Limits because the town supplies all of our services. The County should only be able to keep a collection and accounting fee.
