COLUMBIA – The Blythewood boys cross country team continued their record-setting season by placing second in the Mid-State Qualifier Nov. 2 at Sandhills. The finish was the best in school history, and it earned the team a spot in Saturday’s State Championship meet, also at Sandhills. The boys were led by senior Mike Lantz, who finished third overall in a time of 16 minutes and 2 seconds. Other top finishers were Hunter Jarvis (19th, 17:01), James Palmer (20th, 17:01), TJ Kirby (23rd, 17:05) and Brandon Hardwick (26th, 17:17).
