WINNSBORO – The Lady Eagles volleyball squad ran their record to 4-0 Tuesday night, beating Laurens Academy 4-1 (25-20. 20-25, 25-20, 25-20) at home.
Last week, Richard Winn rattled off a pair of wins against Heathwood Hall and Newberry Academy.
On Aug. 26, the Lady Eagles swept away the Highlanders on the road at Heathwood Hall, three games to none (25-19, 25-23, 25-19). Marion Walker Coleman notched two kills, while Jaycie Johnson had two kills and one block. Carson Justice added two kills, one block and one ace. Alyssa Atkerson had one kill and two aces, and Emily Brigman had two kills and one block.
On Aug. 29, the Lady Eagles dropped Newberry Academy, 3-1 (22-25, 25-15, 25-22, 25-22). Brigman tallied six kills, while Justice had six of her own to go along with three aces. Atkerson had five kills, and Johnson had four kills and two blocks. Rebecca Robertson served a pair of aces and Madison Wade added another.
The Lady Eagles will travel to Chester on Sept. 9 before returning home Sept. 10 to host Spartanburg Day School in a region match.
