Teresa Beaudell-Lugenia Wilson, the recently named City Manager of Columbia, will speak at her church, Gethsemane Baptist in Blair, Sunday at 10 a.m. in recognition of Black History Month.
A native of Columbia, Wilson graduated from Irmo High School, the University of South Carolina Honors College and the University of South Carolina School of Law. Ms. Wilson was chosen to serve as Columbia’s City Manager in January, having joined the city in 2007.
As the proud mother to her 9-year-old daughter, Teresa Alexandria (“Alex”), Ms. Wilson is the daughter of Blair natives and McCrorey-Liston graduates, Dr. Steve Aaron Wilson and Mrs. Teresa Beaudell Hendrix Wilson. She has one brother, Steven Aaron-Lee (Hayley) and one niece, Chloe. Her maternal grandparents are the late Mr. Lee Hendrix and Mrs. Beaudell Hendrix of Blair and her paternal grandparents are the late Mr. Aaron Wilson and Mrs. Lugenia Wilson, also of Blair.
