The Lady Bengals exploded on the scene as they started the game on a 14-0 run. Senior Kierra Brown poured in a team high 13 points, all coming in the first half. Blythewood head coach Steve Inabinet was pleased with her performance and allowed her to rest the majority of the second half with a big lead.
“She (Brown) is our floor leader,” Inabinet noted. “She did a good job running the offense and had a big first half.”
Post play was big for Blythewood as well as they scored the majority of their points in the paint. Senior Kimberly Cobb set a new season high with 12 points, including three straight buckets to start the second half.
“Kim is a hard worker and very coachable,” Inabinet stated. “It was her night and we were trying to reward her by going to her as much as possible down low.”
