Survivors include her sons, T. Edward Cooper and wife, Jackie, of Blythewood; Robert W. “Bob” Cooper and wife, Cathie, of Bowman; daughters, Sara Cooper Palmer and husband, Bill, of Blythewood; grandchildren, Tammie (and Kenny) Brazell, Melissa (and Billy) Purvis, Robert “Bobby” (and Tennille) Cooper Jr., Courtney (and Brandon) Dixon, Matthew Palmer and Heather Palmer; 10 great-grandchildren, Cameron, Caleb, Taylor, Hunter, Catie, Marissa, Julia, Breanna, Dargan, Jacey; and her first great-grandchild, Emma. In addition to her parents and husband, Louise was preceded in death by her son, Kenny, whom she lost in Viet Nam in August of 1967; and her brother, Thomas William Sharpe.
The family would like to express their thanks for the loving care given to Mrs. Cooper by the staff of Visiting Angels and the Staff of NHC Parklane, especially Dorothy Dixon and Sharon Trapp.
The funeral service for Mrs. Cooper was held 2:30 o’clock, Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at Sandy Level Baptist Church, 408 Blythewood Rd., with the Rev. Dr. E. Benjamin Newman Jr. officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. The family received friends from 6 until 8 o’clock, Tuesday evening, at Shives Funeral Home, 5202 Colonial Drive, Columbia.
