COLUMBIA – The Redhawks went into Friday night looking to put an end to their two-game skid against the Ridge View Blazers at Spirit Communications Park. Westwood was missing a powerful weapon in the form of Elijah Heatley, and the offense never got going in the 28-3 loss to Ridge View.
The Redhawks have now lost four out of there last five, all to top competition. Ridge View was geared up for homecoming night, and the Blazers came out of the gates with a blistering pace that troubled the Redhawk secondary.
Javon Anderson gunned one in to Bernard Porter early in the first quarter for a 61-yard touchdown. The two proved to be a lethal combination all night. Anderson was 15 of 21 passing with 266 yards and four touchdowns, while Porter had seven catches for 61 yards and two touchdown receptions.
David Strother tacked on the Redhawks sole score of the night, a 27-yard field goal later in the first quarter. Anderson peppered Westwood all night with his sharp focus, and, over the next two quarters, tossed touchdown passes to Bernard Porter and Waylan Napper to give the Blazers a 20-3 lead headed to the fourth.

Anderson’s final touchdown pass, a short toss out to Zion Rockhold, sealed up the homecoming night victory for Ridge View. Westwood dropped to 4-5, with a 1-3 regional record after the loss, and they finish year with Richland Northeast at home.
