Lady Bengal Tennis sweeps Ashley Ridge, Socastee

BLYTHEWOOD – Blythewood Tennis opened the playoffs in dominant fashion with a 6-0 sweep against Ashley Ridge. Erica Zippel led off for Blythewood and brought back a 6-1, 6-2 straight set victory against Kate Schmedeke.

Hannah Myers continued the Bengals dominance over the courts by toppling Arianna Brim, 6-2, 6-1. Sophie Carlton came out almost unscathed with a 6-2, 6-0 straight-set victory over Caroline Jacky.

Jordan Slagle and Emma Horan polished the clean sweep in singles competition by knocking off Cameron Shephard and Taylor Sparling respectively. Rachel Truitt and Kinsey Todd sealed the deal in doubles without giving up a single point.

Blythewood continued their playoff wins against Socastee on Oct. 24 and advanced to the playoff quarter finals against Wando on Oct. 25.
