I was particularly heartened by an illuminating answer to an all-important question posed at the recent Fairfield Chamber Candidate Forum. In fact, we all have to question which State Senate candidate will be able to wield the most political influence for the betterment of Fairfield. Is it candidate Mike Fanning, who is postured on the political edge of the minority party? Rather, is it candidate Mark Palmer, who is in the center of the majority party? If you are voting for what is best for Fairfield and not just for a party, the obvious choice is Mark Palmer.
Most importantly, Mark Palmer could provide Fairfield it’s most favorable position at the “state table” ever. Let’s not waste this chance to finally have real influence in the State Legislature. Vote for Fairfield first. Vote for Palmer in the State Senate election.
