And we have a winner! Jimmy Ray Douglas shone brightly at the Oct. 17 Winnsboro Chamber candidate forum. He clearly demonstrated his superior grasp of how our Fairfield government should work and why it is not working. Most importantly, Jimmy Ray had well thought out and common sense resolutions to improve our quality of life in Fairfield.
It was glaringly obvious Douglas is the District 2 candidate who has done the most research, knows the most, done the most listening, and has the deepest understanding of our challenges. Further, he impressed me as the one candidate who has the knowhow and the will to get the job done. District 2, and all of Fairfield, is fortunate to have such an outstanding candidate in Jimmy Ray Douglas
I also want to give a big high five to our Winnsboro Chamber team, Terry Vickers and Susan Yenner for their continued and tireless dedication to the betterment of Winnsboro and Fairfield County. Their forum was a triumph for democracy in Fairfield.

Agreed, Jimmy Ray Douglas was clearly the winner of the 3 vying for District 2’s Council seat. He had a full & complete grasp of the issues most important to the citizens. AND, in case no one notice, a few years ago he put skin in the game by personally helping to pay for an audit done on county expenditures & contracts. Easily Jimmy Ray has my vote!
